How to Get Hard-to-Find Nutrition Papers Virtually for Free |
|
How to Find Info |
|
The easiest way to find rare articles is to search
the internet. Both Google and Google Scholar do a very good job. Research
papers have been posted at many health-related websites. Do not hesitate
to email health-sites and ask for assistance. Most will be glad to point
you in the right direction. The next-easiest way is to
simply telephone your public library. Ask for the interlibrary loan
department, give them the complete reference, and ask them to have the paper
photocopied right at the library where it is held. If you offer to pay
for the copying and the postage, this usually works best, saves you a lot of
effort, and is economical. Have them mail the copies directly to
you. It may grease the wheels a bit if you tell the librarian that you
need the paper for serious research. I have found librarians to be extremely
helpful, with only the rarest of exceptions. If by chance you are
connected with an unsympathetic librarian, just call a different library. If you are looking for a
book, interlibrary loan will work even easier. Expect to pay for postage if
the book is coming in from outside your local library system. Libraries (like
all bookstores) can find virtually anything. To
